Your NPI Number
The National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a unique, government-issued, standard identification number for individual health care providers and provider organizations like clinics, hospitals, schools and group practices. The government has contracted with an external company for processing applications and developing these random 10-digit numbers for applicants. Applications to obtain an NPI began on May 23, 2007.
